How much fits into Guide?

Much more than first meets the eye! Although Guide technically measures at 10L, removable inserts and compression valves provide 35% more storage than a traditional 10L bag.

Can Guide be used with a laptop?

Yes, a laptop can definitely be used with Guide. Guide fits 16" laptops, including all MacBooks.

Are the Core and Vista modular inserts compatible with Guide?

Yes, both Core and Vista are designed to fit inside of Guide. They can fit inside simultaneously. Core is included with purchase of Guide.

How waterproof is Guide?

Guide can be safely submerged completely up to 3 feet in water for 30 minutes and not have any water leak in. The waterproof zipper must be completely closed to provide proper protection.

What material is Guide made of?

Guide is made of a durable nylon material which is coated to ensure waterproofness.

How to adjust the carry straps?

Push on the metal clip or the plastic part closest to the metal clip to open or close the strap attachments. To attach the straps, push under the attachment point or on Guide itself. The more space, the easier to attach. See here: Attach / Adjust / Remove

What are pull tabs? How to use them?

The zipper can be tighter than standard zippers due to the waterproof technology. Pull tabs help you “get a grip” and use the zipper easily. Grab the zipper pull between your index and middle finger (this activates your forearm rather than hand muscles, giving you extra strength). Pull hard while holding the pull tab attached to the bag with your other hand.

I usually travel with a travel backpack like the peak design and a suitcase or a roller. I also have the new peak design roller, lol — but my point is I always need a smaller backpack when I get there to carry just my laptop and stuff that I’m using for working that day — so the big sell for me on this is that I can put it in my suitcase and use it at my destination. It’s something you could actually feature more on your site. Although you kinda do. But that was the hook for me personally. I’m not a big outdoors person although I do love the beach

Everyone is so excited and thrilled with their bags! The family and my brother/ nephew used theirs very carefully as a prized possession. We love ours too but put both bags of ours to the test! They have been perfect for boat transfers (always water at bottom) and for this wading to a sand bar. We took them on every single excursion briefly submerged them and splashed them . Kept all our valuable electronics safe! They are awesome !

I’m a graphic designer and comic artist. I typically use Guide as a commute and convention bag. I draw comics the old-fashioned way, by hand on paper, and I take my drawings with me to events all over the world, including Tokyo, San Diego, etc. I’m also usually carrying my iPad Pro or laptop, so avoiding any leaks is the feature I would say is the most important to me. I didn’t truly believe the bag was going to be waterproof at first. I’ve had so-called “waterproof” slings before, but they’re not actually entirely waterproof. So I did a test with some paper, and realized it was in fact completely waterproof. The zipper being tight also gives me a sense of security that it is indeed waterproof.
