What We Do
Agency is a California based brand that creates lifeproof, anytime bags and related accessories that help active people live lives of their own design.
What does "Agency" mean?
Agency refers to the innate power that people have to control their own destiny. We wanted to live life on our own terms while assisting and inspiring others do the same, so we chose a brand name that reflects that.
Our Story
We studied abroad in Tokyo during college, and it was a struggle to manage the transitions between work, activity and travel. We were not product designers, but we had a vision of the bag we wanted and the willingness to learn.
Design and Create
We decided we would take on the challenge of doing our own product design from the ground up. After 15 months of testing and development, we had the adaptable backpack we always wanted.
A Kick-Start
We decided to validate our output via crowdfunding. The Kickstarter was a hit, beating our fundraising goal by 977%, earning the support of 400+ people worldwide and received the the "Project We Love" award.
Expanding Our Reach
We’ve developed new products, established our online presence and started partnerships with REI, Best Buy and more. We will continue to innovate carrywear and inspire individuals to live lives of their own design.

SUSTAINABILITY
Caring For Our Planet
We use TPU coated nylon, which is a recyclable material. We avoided any environmentally toxic PVC in the product or production of the product. We try to reduce plastics used in product packaging whenever possible, for example using craft paper instead of disposable plastic bags.
